Ideating for environmental factors

The main limitation was that this would be displayed in a crowded, noisy hotel show room in Las Vegas. This six foot tall interactive screen needed to provide the natural feeling of having a conversation through out the experience. To get a true feeling of how large the interface components were, I printed off each iteration and taped it to the wall to see how it would feel to people of varying heights.

Brand guideline exploration

Leveraging existing brand guidelines for the event to develop the UI elements, the mocks became high fidelity fairly quickly.

Lifesize iterations

Working closely with the front end developer, we began prototyping and iterating in code by projecting on the wall. Making sure the interface was accessible for people of all heights was important. We also focused on CSS animations to elevate the experience.

Scale and display limitations

This experience was designed for a six foot long touch screen device that would be interacted with on a chaotic sales floor for a global product launch. It was important that the text and data visualization displayed to an appropriate scale and was easily digestable. Heavy emphasize was put on the CSS animations and gamification of the interface to provide a delightful experience.

Design Solution

We utilized brand guidelines to drive direction for the typeface and color usage. The framework displayed the results in a delightful and scannable manner that made it easy to consume in a busy room.
